Here is a list of our upcoming grill classes. We will be constantlyadding new classes so please check back or sign up to be on oure-mail list and we will notify you when we add new classes. We hold ourclasses both inside and outside weather permitting. Don`t forget ourkitchen and patio are available for your own private event.Thankyou for your interest! Payment for classes must be made at time of reservation. If you need to cancel you must do so at least 72 hours before the class for a full refund. Friday February 5th 7pm Join us for our annual Super Bowl Tailgate Class. Learn some great recipes for your next tailgate or for just watching the game at home. Menu items include Chili-Rubbed Shrimp Cocktail, BBQ Chicken Nachos, Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Spicy Slaw, Cornbread Casserole and Caramel Apple Pie for dessert. Cost $50 Saturday February 6th 1pm Sold Out! Join us for our Annual Rib Class. This class will be taught by Scottie Johnson of cancersuckschicago.com competition cooking team. Scottie has been cooking competition BBQ since 2002. He has won over ten Grand Championships including the 2006 Jack Daniel's World Invitational Barbeque Championship. All monies Scottie wins at contests is donated to his 501 foundation cancersuckschicago.com which was started in memory of his wife who died of cancer 7 years ago. Scottie and his daughters Zoe and Lexi have competed in 24 states and hope to compete in all 50 states. So spend and afternoon at The Backyard Barbecue Store and learn how to smoke ribs the right way, low and slow. Cost $50 Saturday February 13th 1pm Spend a Saturday afternoon learning how to make pizza on the grill. We will teach you how to make the dough from scratch and then we will grill the pizzas on both charcoal Cost $30 Friday February 26th 7pm Join us for another Seafood Class. Learn some great recipes that will make grilling seafood a much easier task. Cost $50 Saturday March 20th 1pm Janet Torelli, our "local Egghead" will be back for another Big Green Egg Class. Learn the many wonders of the Big Green Egg and enjoy some of Janet's great recipes. Menu items include savory goat cheese stuffed mini peppers, grilled buffalo shrimp with bleu cheese dip, turkeys burgers and turtle smores for dessert. Cost $40 Friday May 21st 6pm Join us for our second annual Riedel Tasting Class. Sean Petrie from Riedel Crystal will be on hand to show you the difference a true wine glass makes. You will also get to sample some wines, food and take the tasting set home. More details to follow. Saturday June 5th 1pm Join us for a Butt and Brisket Class featuring Chris Marks from Ace of Hearts BBQ makers of the Goon One line of smokers. Chris has won the American Royal 8 times so here is your chance to learn from a true champion. This class will focus on Pork Butts and Brisket.
